Aaaand the Moid Master is back!
Sorry for the silence; I've had a somewhat tumultuous summer, pretty much since I got back from my last visit to Colorado, in May. Since then, the collection has undergone some HUGE updates, including my complete card collection (which hadn't been re-photographed in close to two years), and two new sections: Sketches and Autographs. So if you're keeping track there, feel free to go and check it out! I am, of course, still collecting, and there are cards missing from my collection; I've never actually posted this, but if you happen to have a card that I'm missing (a Neimoidian or Duros card, of course), and are willing to part with it, I would be happy to buy it or trade for it. I have a box of, literally, 250+ Young Jedi cards, available for trading.
I mentioned this a few posts back, but I am still planning on doing a set of blog posts, discussing an item or set of items in my collection. Where I got it, what it is, why it's special, etc. I've got quite a bit on my plate at the moment, and when uni starts, next month, I'm going to have even more, so it's really just finding the time to just sit down and get it done.
Secondly, just this past week, I received some rather big news. I've been made a co-host on The Voice of The Republic podcast! If you haven't heard of it, it's a rather brilliant and well-organised set of podcasts which frequently interview SW actors and crew, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be a part of it! This time last year, I was beginning to look forward to my own interview on TheForceBook Fangirls podcast, and, later, even became a co-host on that. Sadly, that has been on hold since January (I still have hopes that it will start up again and become even better); doing those podcasts, even if they were at 4 in the morning, my time, were some of my best Star Wars experiences. I had an absolutely phenomenal time getting to know the other hosts and even getting to interview Joe Corroney, who is, without a doubt, my favourite SW artist, and whose work I have admired since I was 13. That being said, I am beyond thrilled that I'm going to get to do podcasts again, with a really great bunch of people, AND at a non-hellish UK time!
While nothing is set in stone just yet, it's possible that my debut will be this Friday. Not only that, but in one of the upcoming episodes that I will be on, we will be interviewing Neimoidian actor Colin Ware, who portrayed Lushros Dofine, Rute Gunnay, and an unnamed Neimoidian on Mustafar, and I am absolutely over the moon about that!
If you're interested, come and give our Facebook page a like, and subscribe to our YouTube channel. You can find more information about upcoming guests and broadcasting times on the FB page. The next episode, I am told, will be this Friday at 10pm GMT (5pm EST). Hope you'll tune in!
